2021年10月22日下午，在孩子们期待的目光中，位于湖南省通道侗族自治县坪坦中心小学的“坪坦书屋”正式开幕启用了。这是穗港的联合团队继“高步书屋”之后，为侗族小朋友们设计并募资捐建的第二座书屋。这座“看得见稻田的书屋”收到了充满爱心的各界朋友们馈赠的千余册儿童读物。

很遗憾，联合团队的香港队员们未能亲临现场。孩子们熟悉的Peter和“紫薇姐姐”，他们对书屋及孩子们的祝福和期待，已由蔡老师在开幕式现场转达。这也是我们克服疫情期间种种的困难，终于达成梦想后最想说的心里话。在此，就用这些温暖的话语来祝贺“坪坦书屋”的落成启用，并感谢所有支持与帮助我们的朋友。

亲爱的孩子们，

很高兴你们的书屋终于完成啦，现在你们开始享受这座魔法房子的探险了！

 书，跟故事有关，它是一个平行世界，里面有梦想和知识、梦幻与现实，还有楼梯和窗户。在这个书屋里你不需要保持安静，也不用端坐在书桌前。这座房子是如此特别，你可以在里面看书、玩耍，还可以坐在楼梯上，望向窗外。它就像一只装着美丽回忆的灯笼。

 今天我不能和你们一起参加书屋的开幕式，但我想让你们知道，这座书屋终于建成，可以让你们开始探索，我们有多开心！请你们好好照顾它，好好使用它，把它看作你们灵感的来源和梦想开始的地方。

 这个项目是很多人一起完成的，感谢所有人的共同努力。我想感谢：坪坦中心小学的侯校长，给了我们建造这所书屋的机会；Paula和Milly的前期设计；蔡老师的看护和用心；杨剑师傅和团队的实际建造工作;还有谢谢最后会在这里守护它的孩子们。

Dear students,

I am so pleased your Book House is finished and you can now enjoy exploring this “magic” house.

Books are about stories,a parallel world, a world of dreams and knowledge, of fantasy and facts, aworld of stairs and windows. This is not a library that would be quiet, this is not a place where you sit at your desk, no this is a special place where you can play and read, sit on the stairs and wonder out of the window, a lantern of beautiful memories.

Today I cannot be here with you for the opening, but I want to tell you how happy we are that the project is finally finished and ready for you to explore, please look after it,use it as a source of inspiration and a place to dream of your ambitious.

This project has been made by many people and I would like to thank them all.

First the principal of the school who gave us the chance, Paula and Milly who designed it, Prof. Cai for looking after it, Mr. Yang for actually building it andfinally you the children who will now inherit it.
